As a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing our infrastructure, working on complex projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth. We value diversity, inclusivity, and remote work, so you can work from anywhere in the U.S. Focus Areas: Database Access Platform: Build and operate a scalable query gateway that enables sub-millisecond latencies, allowing Netflix microservices to store, consume, and manage their data efficiently. Data Platform Infrastructure: Develop high-impact frameworks, tools, and deployment systems that enable Netflix to rapidly innovate and provide cutting-edge data and analytics systems to the rest of the organization. Big Data Compute: Provide a cloud-native platform for distributed data processing, supporting batch and real-time data processing, and collaborating with open-source communities to shape the future of big data technologies. Big Data Orchestration: Offer a platform for designing, scheduling, and executing big data jobs and workflows in a self-serve manner, using cutting-edge technologies and event-driven architecture.
