Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our IT Analytics team at American Airlines. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale data engineering solutions that drive business growth and informed decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy data engineering solutions using Azure products and services, such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Event Hub, and Azure Databricks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop data-driven solutions that meet those needs. Work closely with data architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders to design and implement data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes. Develop and maintain large-scale data pipelines using cloud technologies, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Stream Analytics. Provide technical leadership and collaborate with team members to develop and implement best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline. Minimum 3 years of experience in software development, data engineering, or a related field, with a focus on cloud computing and data analytics. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C#. Experience with Azure cloud technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Functions, and Azure Data Lake Storage. Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance principles. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in software development, data engineering, or a related field, with a focus on cloud computing and data analytics. Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices. Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and privacy principles.
