The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development and experience with high-scale distributed systems. Responsibilities Lead the development of core systems and work independently to drive success Follow best practices and set standards for the team to ensure adoption and success Apply technical expertise to solve complex problems and collaborate with cross-functional teams Build high-level and low-level designs, including multiple systems and architectures Work with key stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and senior engineers, to drive agreement on approach and solutions Analyze complex problems and break them down into manageable deliveries Prioritize work and ensure that redundancies are updated regularly Participate in on-call activities and identify repeat patterns to fix root causes and ensure proper documentation and visibility Mentor junior engineers and participate in hiring top talent Skills and Qualifications Proficient in Python/Golang Experience building high-scale distributed systems Experience designing and building low-latency and scalable microservices Proficient with code-forming tools like Github Experience with data stores, including RDBMS, NoSQL, and Redis Experience building offline systems using Kafka/Message brokers Excellent troubleshooting skills Experience with CI/CD tools like Harness/GoCD Experience setting up and driving visibility components of microservices to monitor and proactively identify issues Preferred Education and Experience Tech/B.E/Masters in Computer Science from a reputable school or related technical discipline with 4+ years of experience in backend software development.
