Senior Accountant - Mostly Remote for DMV Candidates
About the Company and Opportunity:
• Our client is well-known non-profit who has been around for almost 100 years!
• Due to project, they are hiring a temporary Senior Accountant.
• Position is remote, candidates may have to go into the MD or DC office as needed.
• Pay: $39-41/hr depending on experience.
• Metro Accessible
• Duration: 4 weeks
• Schedule: M-F, 8a-5p/9a-6p, 40 hour work week
Overview of the Senior Accountant role:
• Post journal entries to general ledger.
• General ledger accounting through month-end close.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Perform various account reconciliations.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.
• Develop and document internal processes and workflow.
• Handle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.
Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree
• 3-5 years' experience is preferred
• Oracle Fusion experience is a plus
• Non-profit experience is a must
• Proficient in Excel is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
