POSITION SUMMARY The Sales Director will be responsible for maintaining and growing product sales through all channels, accounts or OEM as assigned and seeking new accounts that will contribute to growth plans. This position will manage certain accounts or territories including the customer base, sales forecast, goals, and assist in annual budgeting. This position will lead, mentor, and inspire collaboration with other directors to support ongoing needs within respective territories.    CORE FUNCTIONS ·         Maintain healthy relationships with buyers at each customer, while focusing on maintaining/growing sales in each respective channel ·         Monitor sales trends, maintain product content via retailer portals, and identify product gaps in their portfolio. ·         Lead lines review processes, including providing direction to supporting team, in order present comprehensive product pitches to realize sales growth goals. ·         Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, product development, and customer support to align product selection with our channel management strategy. ·         Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan and sales strategy that ensures attainment of corporate sales goals and profitability. ·         Attend weekly Sales and various Meetings via phone/virtual means. ·         Achieve targeted sales goals for all channels, accounts, or OEM customers. ·         Oversee the successful execution of sales programs, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and project timelines. Work in partnership with internal teams to drive the successful delivery of products and services. ·         Travel regularly via automobile and airplane for visits to OEM Customers, Dealers, Jobbers, Warehouse (WD), Trade Shows, or other assigned events (some weekends required). ·         Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships and strategically engage with key clients and partners. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction and retention. Maintain all customer programs, policies, pricing, and promotional activities throughout all channels, accounts or OEM as assigned. ·         Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the sales department. ·         Utilize background to understand product specifications, technical requirements, and provide informed solutions to customers. Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure a deep understanding of product capabilities and customization options. ·         Forecast, in collaboration with VP of Sales, in the annual budgeting process including projected monthly sales. ·         Maintain dealer or customer contact info in company CRM system.   QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience ·         Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field required. ·         8+ years of outside sales experience preferred in automotive segment, customer, or client relationship management. ·         Proven track record of successful sales leadership in the automotive industry. ·         Ability to excel and successfully operate within a complex organizational matrix. ·         Strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams. ·         Demonstrated experience in program management and delivering complex solutions. ·         Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills. ·         Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable sales strategies.     Required Licenses ·         Valid state-issued driver’s license.   Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge ·         Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM Software, ERP Software, Concur or other expenses systems Development of PowerPoint presentations. ·         Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. ·         Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities. ·         Ability to respond to complaints. ·         Ability to effectively present information and presentations to customers and top management. ·         Ability to write, speak and comprehend English. ·         Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. ·         Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw an interpret graphs. ·         Ability to read and understand business financial documents. ·         Ability to solve practical problems. ·         Ability to interpret a variety of instructions. ·         Ability to overcome customer objections and concerns.   Travel ·         50% travel required on average.
