In this role, you will influence how the platform supports safe interactions among users by guiding a dedicated team of analytics professionals. Responsibilities
• Directly manage a 6-person Analytics Data Science team across junior to senior levels, providing coaching, feedback, and development support.
• Participate in the Safety Leads group, building strong cross-functional relationships and contributing data-driven perspectives to safety strategy.
• Ensure quality of deliverables across the team through direct review or delegation, maintaining and improving existing processes.
• Enhance team capabilities in strategic impact through process improvement and stakeholder management.
• Formulate your own strategic view on safety improvements and advocate for change through thought leadership.
Requirements
• Direct experience on Safety or Integrity teams at consumer tech companies, with background in content moderation and abuse detection.
• 2+ years directly managing teams of 3+ individuals with demonstrated ability to build high-performing data science teams.
• 5+ years in data science or analytics with proficiency in SQL and R or Python.
• Expertise in product analytics, experimentation, A/B testing, and product strategy.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex technical findings to various stakeholders.
• Experience with self-service analytics tools like Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI.
• Strong perspective in safety or risk domains with application of data science.
• Adopt a management philosophy that fosters autonomy and accountability within teams.
• Collaborative, low-ego approach with a bias towards action and learning.
