They are seeking an Analyst to support the Regional Sub-Saharan Africa Digital Infrastructure Opportunities Desk Study Series, which will aid USTDA in decision-making for funding activities related to digital infrastructure projects. The role involves reviewing project proposals, conducting market research, and preparing project reports and budgets.
Responsibilities
• Support review of initial project proposals and preparation of up to 15 Project Reports
• Conduct background research on digital infrastructure markets, regulatory frameworks, and competitive landscape in Sub-Saharan Africa
• Perform financial and economic analysis
• Support U.S. export and market assessments
• Assist in evaluating sponsor capacity and project risks, including environmental, regulatory, and infrastructure considerations
• Draft Project Report sections, budget documentation, and supporting annexes
• Support preparation of the Final Report and public-facing market summary
Skills
• 2-5 years of experience in infrastructure, development finance, trade analysis, or project evaluation
• Experience supporting feasibility studies, technical assistance, or project preparation activities
• Experience conducting market and regulatory research
• Strong writing and documentation skills in English
• Experience in digital infrastructure sectors
• Experience in Sub-Saharan Africa
• Familiarity with MDB, DFC, Ex-Im, or commercial infrastructure financing
• Knowledge of international procurement practice
• Fluency in French or Portuguese
