Portfolio Aid Inc. is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Analyst to join their team. The role involves designing test plans, developing test programs, and documenting software defects to ensure high-quality software solutions for wealth management firms. Responsibilities - Designing test plans, scenarios, scripts, and/or procedures - Developing test programs that address database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error/defect retests, and/or application usability - Testing application modifications - Documenting software defects using a defect-tracking system and reporting defects to software developers/project team - Identifying, analyzing, and documenting problems with program functions, output, online screens, and/or content - Creating and/or maintaining databases of known test defects - Planning test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope and/or delivery dates - Participating in product design reviews and providing input on 1) functional requirements, 2) product designs, 3) schedules, and/or 4) potential problems - Reviewing software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and completeness - Assisting quality assurance analysts and developers at other skill levels, as needed, to ensure timely releases of high quality code - Achieving a service-focused culture with emphasis on timely delivery of high-quality products and services to internal and external customers Skills - French language written and verbal communication skills - Minimum 1 year quality assurance or computer programming experience - Minimum 1 year SQL and scripting experience - University degree or community college diploma in a related field such as computer science/IT - Strong English language written and verbal communication skills - Knowledgeable on the principles, practices and procedures of quality assurance testing and the ability to apply said knowledge and skills to a range of professional assignments - Ability to design, write, test and document efficient testing solutions to meet customer needs - Ability to change process execution during product line testing - Ability to analyze large data sets, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions - Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities - Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills - Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team–oriented, environment - Ability to work well independently - Strong computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office - Experience in a client-server environment - Keen attention to detail - Knowledge of Agile development methodology - Experience using Selenium WebDriver or equivalent tool Company Overview - PortfolioAid is Canada’s market leading provider of compliance management software for wealth professionals.
