As a Production Support Engineer II on the US Risk Technology team, you will support the anti-money laundering (AML) platform built using SAS Viya, focusing on application and database support, cloud computing, and collaboration with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Investigate application issues; prioritize incidents based on impact and severity
- Identify root causes and implement solutions to prevent recurrence
- Apply IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices for incident, change, and problem management
- Write complex SQL queries; troubleshoot extract, transform, and load (ETL) pipelines
- Manage Linux virtual machines and a PostgreSQL database hosted on Microsoft Azure
- Oversee production changes affecting CIBC’s SAS Viya AML platform, including bug fixes and version upgrades
- Perform disaster recovery tests
- Build trusted working relationships with business stakeholders, technology partners, and external vendors
- Express technical concepts to non-technical audiences with precision and clarity
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, changes in the banking industry, and regulatory developments
Skills
- At least 1 year of experience in an Application Support role
- Solid experience with Linux virtual machines
- Writing complex SQL queries
- Technical familiarity with cloud computing (preferably Azure)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with SAS Viya
- Relevant certifications related to SAS Viya
- Experience with IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices for incident, change, and problem management
- Experience with PostgreSQL database
- Experience with disaster recovery tests
- Experience with AutoSys Workload Automation
- Experience with ServiceNow Platform
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
