About the Role As a Part-time Assistant Faculty member, you'll play a vital role in creating an engaging and interactive online learning environment for our undergraduate CIS 101 students. You'll work closely with our instructional faculty to support student success, foster a sense of community, and drive academic excellence. Key Responsibilities Analyze student activity within discussions and assessments, responding appropriately based on training and input from the lead instructor. Assist in managing student communications, escalating unique issues to the lead instructor as needed. Support grading and provide constructive feedback to students, promoting academic growth and development. Monitor student engagement levels, providing recommendations on strategies to increase participation and motivation. Assist the lead instructor with tutoring, live sessions, and other student support activities, as needed. Collaborate with the lead instructor to develop supplemental support materials, such as videos, job aids, and other resources. Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to student success. Requirements and Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must possess: A Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution (terminal degree preferred). Professional experience in the field of study (preferred, but not required). Previous teaching experience, with online teaching experience highly preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with faculty, coaches, and learners. Demonstrated effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail, initiative, and follow-through, with a commitment to delivering high-quality support to students. Experience working with diverse learning styles, with the ability to adapt to individual student needs. Comfort with using technology to facilitate learning, including online platforms and tools. Professional certification in discipline specialty (if required, dependent on course credentialing requirements). Excellent relationship-building, customer service, and problem-resolution skills, with a focus on student satisfaction. Good attendance and a commitment to being available for work during key days and times (Friday - Sunday, 2-hour day shift preferred).
