This is a remote position. Location: Remote (Full-Time) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM AWST About the Role: We are seeking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support Australian-based projects, specializing in mining industry. Working under the direction of our Australia-based engineers, you’ll design and draft mechanical equipment, plant including general arrangements adhering to Australian standards (AS/NZS), ensuring safety, efficiency, and scalability for heavy industrial applications. Key Responsibilities: 3D Modelling of equipment and plant for mining and industrial projects, including such as: Comminution - crushers, screens, feeders Materials handling - conveyors, chutes Mineral processing – mills, tanks, pumps, piping, cyclones Drafting of detailed drawings for mining and industrial projects, using AutoCAD, Revit, or MicroStation General Arrangements Mechanical Arrangements & Details Perform calculations per Australian standards Hydraulic calculations – pipe losses, pump selection Pipe stress calculations Collaborate with Australian engineers to translate design requirements into technical models and drawings. Prepare models in Navisworks for engineering reviews. Requirements: 5+ years of design experience, with exposure to Australian standards (AS/NZS). Experience with mining and industrial design projects. Proficiency in 3D Modelling Proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit, or MicroStation). Experience in development of hydraulic calculations. Ability to work autonomously under Australian engineer direction with minimal supervision. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in engineering software (FluidFlow3).
