They are seeking a Junior Foreign Affairs Analyst to support international engagement and policy frameworks related to radiological and nuclear emergency preparedness, while collaborating with various government and international partners. Responsibilities - Provide support internationally and within the INDOPACOM region to support effective and sustainable EPR regional engagement and country engagement planning - Provide support to other regions as directed/ as needed - Provide research and insights on international policy frameworks, initiatives, and technical developments relevant to radiological and nuclear EPR - Support proactive engagement to coordinate and drive programs on EPR-related functions within the office, broader DOE/NNSA, and with interagency partners, including those from the Department of State and the Department of War - Review the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) events calendar to identify and coordinate upcoming IAEA activities related to EPR - Maintain a strong relationship with the IAEA on EPR efforts at the action officer/ program staff level within the INDOPACOM region - Support U.S. national security and energy objectives by working collaboratively with international counterparts to support programmatic initiatives - Identify, clean, process and analyze international and domestic datasets to support rigorous data-based prioritization of engagements - Support briefings and product development at/for leadership levels including within NNSA as well as DOE/NNSA laboratories, interagency partners, and international organizations - Support negotiations between the U.S. Government (USG) and mission partner countries, to establish frameworks for cooperation, communication, and the potential development of MOU/As Skills - Master's degree required in relevant field - Active DOE Q or DoD Top Secret security clearance - Proficiency in ArcGIS, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps & full Microsoft suite - Basic aptitude for data handling in Python - Ability to manage a diverse technical portfolio of tasks and people - Ability to organize and support project management goals - Ability to work well in a rapidly changing and often uncertain environment - Flexible, agile, and mission-oriented - Demonstrated good judgment, high degrees of professionalism, and ability to work well with people in an office and field environment - Highly organized Benefits - Employer Paid, High Quality Employee Medical, Dental & Vision Care - Low-Cost Family Health Care offered - 11 Federal Holidays and 3 weeks’ vacation - 401k with Generous Employer Match - Cross-training opportunities Company Overview - MELE Associates, Inc.
