About the position Valkyrie Enterprises has need for a Journeyman Technical Writer who will provide essential technical writing support for operations out of JBSA Lackland AFB in Texas. This position is contingent upon contract funding. Responsibilities Provide day-to-day support in documenting / writing technical materials, equipment manuals, appendices, operating manuals and internal network layouts. , Ability to take existing and potential content and improve it. , Write documentation for internal teams such as developers and programmers. , Prepare instruction manuals. , Create product manuals with screenshots and tutorials. , Have technical accuracy in writing user documentation. , Create software documentation after a thorough collaboration with subject matter experts and technical staff. , Convert complex documentation to easy language for multiple audiences. , Communicate complex ideas in a concise manner. , Disseminate technical information in easy-to-understand language for a non-technical audience. Requirements Must have a minimum of 6 years' experience in technical writing. , Understand and explain complex technical concepts. , Strong research and analytical skills. , Excellent technical writing skills. , Excellent verbal communication skills. , Good working knowledge of MS Office or Google Docs. , Ability to undertake multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines.
