Job Description: We are seeking an exceptional Principal Architect to join our team as a core part of the Leadership team for the CIO of Central Functions. As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for defining and delivering the architecture that supports our portfolio of work across three value streams: Finance, Risk and Internal Audit, and People (HR). This is a unique opportunity to drive technological innovation, provide thought leadership, and make a significant impact on our business. Key Responsibilities: Lead the definition, socialization, and implementation of architecture and engineering assets, including technical strategy, implementation roadmaps, standards, patterns, and guardrails. Drive the definition of technology roadmaps that support our business ambitions and align with our overarching technology strategy. Lead architecture and engineering governance across Central Functions, ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture standards and guardrails. Manage technology metadata records, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information on applications, software, and hardware in use. Develop and lead teams of engineers and architects, enabling them to deliver architecture outcomes and grow in their careers. Construct and manage resource plans, including multi-year demand and supply views, recruitment, and retention plans. Build strategic relationships with external parties, including software vendors, research companies, and industry bodies, to ensure future-proofed architecture and industry best practices. About You: To succeed in this role, you will have: A solid engineering or architecture background, with degree-level qualifications relevant to finance, risk, HR, or procurement. Extensive experience leading large, multi-disciplinary IT teams. A practical understanding of architecture and engineering requirements, with a proven ability to develop new architecture and engineering patterns to solve complex technology problems. Leadership and management skills, with expertise in resourcing and capacity management. Strong influencing and relationship management skills, with the ability to stakeholder manage up to ExCo level.
