Role Description
This role involves being a Member Service Advocate at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, where you will support our mission of providing quality, affordable, and equitable healthcare.
• Be the attentive ear and friendly voice guiding members to the answers they need.
• Explain medical and dental packages to members.
• Work in a structured and supportive service center environment.
• Participate in a phased new hire training program.
• Handle a fast-paced, unscripted service center environment.
• Be available to members when they need assistance.
• Spend the majority of the week taking calls with members.
• Engage in learning and development for career growth.
• Supportive remote-working opportunities available.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years customer service experience with frequent communication with customers.
• Strong familiarity with technology, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Local to Eastern Standard time zone.
Requirements
• Frequent speaking and being on the phone with members.
• Ability to work in an environment free from distractions.
• Establish an ergonomically comfortable physical work environment.
