The Opportunity
We are seeking a long-term partnership with a high-level Grant Strategist who specializes in securing non-dilutive capital for innovation-driven, for-profit companies.
About Echo Marketing (echoagency.com)
Based in the U.S. with a 25-year legacy, Echo Marketing has evolved into a modern, AI-hybrid agency. We are currently moving beyond service-based models to develop proprietary AI-driven software designed to empower small and mid-sized businesses across the nation. We operate at the intersection of digital marketing, deep technology, and scalable business growth.
The Mission
We are looking to unlock strategic funding to support:
• R&D and Technical Expansion: Accelerating the development of our proprietary AI products.
• Operational Scaling: Growing our internal technical team and infrastructure.
• Economic Impact: Initiatives that drive measurable growth for the U.S. small business ecosystem and local economies.
Role and Strategy
This is not a "form-filling" role. We need a partner who can navigate the complex landscape of federal and state-level innovation incentives. You will:
• Identify High-Probability Targets: Specifically focusing on SBIR/STTR (Phase I and II) programs, BAAs (Broad Agency Announcements), and state-level economic development/technology grants.
• Strategic Positioning: Translate our product roadmap into rigorous technical narratives that align with agency priorities (e.g., NSF, SBA, Dept. of Commerce).
• Full-Cycle Management: Lead the strategy, draft compelling technical proposals, and ensure all federal registrations (SAM, UEI, SBC) are optimized for submission.
• Pipeline Development: Build a repeatable, sustainable funding engine rather than pursuing one-off opportunities.
• Ongoing Identification: Conduct monthly or quarterly landscape scans to identify new and recurring solicitations that align with our product roadmap.
Qualifications
• Proven For-Profit Track Record: Demonstrable success securing grants for private corporations, specifically in the tech or R&D sectors.
• SBIR/STTR Expertise: Deep familiarity with the federal "Seed Fund" landscape and the specific nuances of technical "innovation" versus "nonprofit" social services.
• Technical Literacy: Ability to understand and communicate the value of AI-driven software and its impact on workforce development and technology adoption.
• Strategic Mindset: You act as a consultant and advisor, not just a writer. You aren't afraid to tell us if a specific opportunity isn't worth the effort.
Our Commitment
We are not looking for "quick wins" or "free money." We understand that securing high-level federal funding is a marathon involving iteration, technical rigor, and persistence. We are prepared to invest in a professional, fee-based or retainer-based partnership (not commission-based) and view this as a core pillar of our long-term growth strategy.
