MasterTech is on the search for an experienced Field Service Mechanic in the Petersburg, VA area.
The successful Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of a diverse line of diesel trucks and equipment. This is a Remote/Resident Field Mechanic opening, meaning service vehicles will be taken home and Mechanics will be dispatched remotely.
Compensation:
- $30.00 - $40.00/hour. Higher wages available based on experience.
- $1500.00 sign on bonus available.
- Field service vehicle, gas card, company cell phone.

Shift:
- Day shift, Monday to Friday. 7AM start time. Overtime available.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic (diesel trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, etc.).
- Experience working in the field.
- Able to work independently.
- Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Education from an accredited Technical School is preferred, not required.
- Valid driver's license in good standing required, CDL preferred not required.
- Able to pass pre-employment background checks.
- Has basic to full set of hand tools.
