With a strong focus on customer satisfaction, we strive to build long-term relationships with our clients and partners. **Job Duties and Responsibilities** As a Medical Record/Data Entry Clerk/Project Support Associate, you'll be responsible for the following key duties: * **Project Associate Related Duties** + Retrieving patient medical records from various hospital systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. + Generating and preparing patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits. + Extracting and entering necessary information from/to hospital patient accounting systems, maintaining data integrity. + Making phone calls to post-acute healthcare facilities to obtain information needed on patients, building strong relationships with facility staff. + Running and creating reports to support revenue recovery efforts, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement. + Assisting with any other information gathering or data entry as needed by the recovery team, adapting to changing priorities. + Scanning and indexing of documents, maintaining a secure and organized digital filing system. * **Additional Responsibilities** + Collaborating with the revenue recovery team to ensure seamless project execution, providing support as needed. + Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to arenaflex's quality standards and regulatory requirements. + Participating in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry trends and best practices. **Essential Qualifications** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., health information management, business administration) preferred. * **Experience**: 1-2 years of experience in medical records, data entry, or a related field, with a strong understanding of healthcare systems and regulations. * **Skills**: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Access; experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and hospital patient accounting systems. * **Certifications**: Certified Medical Record Specialist (CMRS) or Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) certification preferred. **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial: * **Experience with project management tools**: Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello) and experience with Gantt charts, timelines, and resource allocation. * **Data analysis skills**: Strong analytical skills, with experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization using tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI. * **Communication skills**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in phone calls, emails, and in-person interactions with healthcare professionals. * **Certifications**: Additional certifications in areas like coding, billing, or revenue cycle management would be an asset. **Skills and Competencies** To excel in this role, you'll need: * **Attention to detail**: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with a focus on data integrity and confidentiality. * **Organizational skills**: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines. * **Communication skills**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with healthcare professionals and facility staff. * **Analytical skills**: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement. * **Adaptability**: Ability to adapt to changing priorities, workflows, and technologies, with a flexible and collaborative mindset. **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to your growth and development.
