As a Customer Service Agent at arenaflex, you'll interact with clients in a courteous, efficient, professional, and friendly manner.
**What you'll do**
These are the fundamental elements of the job:
* Issue, reissue, and refund traveler tickets
* Book, ticket, and confirm flight reservations
* Rebook travelers on oversold flights and during irregular operations
* Perform traveler check-in and boarding tasks (excluding curbside), correct oversold seat assignments, and issue upgrades
* Issue vouchers as well as coordinate with vendors for traveler hotel accommodations, meals, and transportation; arrange for refueling and re-boarding
* Perform traveler loading, including ticket lift as well as ticket lift/confirmation
* Operate door readers/scanners and related tasks to include pre-boarding, observing/checking carry-on items and departure gate rules
* Operate jetways/bridges for the purpose of boarding and deplaning travelers
* Make boarding and flight door announcements
* Carry domestic/international flight manifests
* Perform traveler service flight close-out procedures
* Accept, check, and label travelers' baggage at destination points, full-service ticket counters, and premium ticket counters
* Maintain the schedule of the flight loading process
* Perform client service hands-on training
* Process and complete credit card transactions at stands in the ticket counter area and activation stations
* Assist travelers with self-service kiosk check-in and bag handling at ticket counters
* Man the lines at ticket counter stands and ticket counters
* Clear/confirm international records at booth in the ticket counter area and activation stations
* Accept and initiate travelers' self-labeled bags at activation stations
* Assist clients requiring special assistance or in-station; assist boarding, deplaning, and moving non-ambulatory travelers, special assistance travelers, as well as unaccompanied minors
* Perform client service work related to handling regional flights and vendor/ground handling arrangements or agreements
* Have regular and predictable attendance on site, including fulfilling any mandatory overtime requirements.
* Answer and assist during security or potential crisis situations
* Provide interfacing travelers with gate information
* Provide quality customer service in a professional manner and in accordance with arenaflex's standards.
* Adhere to company policies, procedures, and performance guidelines.
* Complete task-specific training phases
* Comply with applicable laws (e.g. TSA, FAA)
* Utilize various internal assets/frameworks including during client interactions
* Wear uniform as required by company policy
Depending on your airport size, you may also perform the following:
* Perform Traveler Activity Control capabilities including air to ground communication along with Peak capabilities
* Assist international travelers through customs/immigration, including baggage re-check
* Carry tickets, international flight reports, and customs/migration forms
**All you'll need for success**
Minimum Qualifications:
* Training and Previous Professional Experience
* High school diploma or GED or equivalent
* Bilingual language skills required in certain areas
* Valid driver's license as required by local authorities
* Must meet FAA background checks to qualify for unescorted access badges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
* Must be able to obtain suitable airport power or US Customs security badges, if relevant
* Completion of a pre-employment drug screen, comprehensive background check, and fingerprinting to meet company and security requirements
* Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Education and Previous Professional Experience
* Working knowledge of Sabre or other Traveler Service Systems
* Past face-to-face Customer Service experience
* Working in a high-speed environment
