**Job Responsibilities:**
As a Customer Service Trainee, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills in a hybrid training program that combines on-site and remote learning. You'll work in a developing and learning capacity, performing the following typical assignments:
* Researches inquiries by accessing the claims processing system and other informational sources
* Responds to customer/group and provider questions through telephone contact and/or written communication (such as mail) using proper etiquette, grammar, punctuation, etc.
* Maintains related departmental records and files
* Operates office equipment which may include a personal computer, calculator, copier, fax machine, etc.
* Makes corrections to claims and eligibility
* Enters new claims, eligibility, and subscriber information into the mainframe
* Reviews subscriber's coverage to determine type and level of benefits
**Training Schedule:**
Our hybrid training program is designed to provide you with a comprehensive learning experience. You'll attend on-site training sessions during weeks 1, 2, 6, and 7, and participate in remote learning during weeks 3, 4, 5, and 8.
**Minimum Requirements:**
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following minimum requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* One year of customer service experience in a business environment that requires the use of a computer program to assist the customer, preferably in a call center, and/or dental experience
* Successful completion of the customer service simulation test (minimum score of 62 out of a possible 100) (assessment waived if candidate previously passed test while at arenaflex or if previously held Customer Service Trainee, Customer Service Advisor, or Customer Service Associate position)
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including the first shift (8:25 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday) or second shift (11:00 a.m. – 12:00 Midnight, Monday through Friday)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
* Experience working in a call center or customer-facing role
* Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
