Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic remote call center team. As a full-time team member, you will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home, allowing you to balance your work and personal life effectively. Key Responsibilities - Assist internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner, responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support via phone, fax, e-Commerce, and in-person interactions. - Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded. - Receive requests from multiple sources, complete necessary processes for equipment services, and coordinate home equipment service requests with Dispatch for prompt delivery. - Engage in active listening with customers, confirming or clarifying information, and diffusing angry customers as needed. - Provide customers with product and service information, maintaining current knowledge on Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payor sources for equipment. - Verify medical necessity, insurance coverage, and physician orders for all insurance-assigned services, following policy and work instructions to ensure accurate paperwork for the Billing Department. - Strive to meet or exceed department metrics while providing excellent customer service, making sales or recommendations for products or services that complement client needs as applicable. - Perform other duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and requirements. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you must be professional, proactive, and positive, with excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, and 6 months of relevant customer service experience is preferred. Skills and Abilities - Excellent customer service orientation, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional support and solutions. - Attention to detail, with good data entry skills and proficiency with computers, including strong typing skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple requests simultaneously. - Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box to resolve complex issues.
