Key Responsibilities Act as a technical architect for the teams within the Discovery contract, ensuring the quality of engineering and design of systems Practically break down complex issues into simple, straightforward solutions Develop technical roadmaps, frame future directions, and orchestrate technical advancements Analyze and improve data quality and metrics, fully understanding system interdependencies and constraints Apply internal and industry knowledge to make informed design decisions Exercise technical influence over 50+ colleagues, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and experience, and mentoring on cutting-edge technical matters for professional development Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you should have: At least 4+ years of experience building large mobile systems, with a strong foundation in software development engineering Strong knowledge of distributed systems, datastores (SQL, NoSQL), and the ability to choose the right technology based on requirements Excellent knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design for performance Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to provide technical guidance across backend, frontend, and ML technologies Thriving in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment, achieving stretch goals Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills Extensive experience in mentoring junior designers to progress A pioneering spirit and the ability to have fun! Preferred Education and Experience A Tech/B.E/Masters or a comparable degree from a reputable university, with at least 13 years of professional experience as a backend/full stack developer, is preferred. Any experience with ML, data science, or search in B2C (e-commerce, OTT) is a plus.
