This position aligns strategic planning and work efforts for community benefit, community engagement, and community resource networks, focusing on the Social Drivers of Health. Additionally, this role collaborates with several internal teams to ensure a cohesive strategy to address high-priority health determinants, understand community health needs, successfully communicate community initiatives to various audiences, and effectively meet IRS standards for Community Benefit. In addition, this position works with local nonprofit leaders, including faith, public health, foundations, and community benefit organizations, to improve community health. This position impacts the health of local communities by leading community advocacy strategies and ensuring hospital adherence to IRS standards for Community Benefit. Identifies and pursues opportunities to provide data-driven insights and strategies across work efforts and functions. Leads team to meet Vision 2030, ensuring local influence with partners. Sets and leads community advocacy strategy for market, in alignment with system goals and local CHNA and CHP. Leads strategic alignment with partners including Government Advocacy Communications, Mission and Ministry, Health Equity, Clinical, Population Health, Finance, and Tax. Represents and engages with key partners and associations to promote and align community advocacy work. Oversees the development and implementation of standard and meaningful community benefit reporting. Oversees and directs budgets for community giving, sponsorships, and grants in alignment with CHNA priorities. Collaborates with internal teams such as Health Equity, Care Management, Data Analytics, etc. to identify community needs exacerbating patient issues within hospitals with specific focus on underserved populations. Collaborates with executives and leaders across functions and operations to implement prioritized strategic initiatives. Oversees the market implementation of the Community Resource Network and participates in its local governance committee.
