Spiller Law is looking for an experienced contract attorney with extensive estate planning expertise, particularly in advanced and complex estate plans, to help support the growth of the estate planning area of our practice.
We are a boutique law firm with a strong foundation in serving businesses, founders and families, and we are seeing increasing demand for estate planning matters that go beyond basic documents. We are interested in connecting with an attorney who has the depth of knowledge to assist with these more sophisticated matters and who is open to starting slowly as we determine the right long-term fit.
This is not necessarily a high-volume role at the outset. Instead, we are looking for the right person: someone with meaningful experience, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset, who would be interested in building a working relationship over time as our estate planning services continue to expand.
The ideal candidate will have experience with:
• Complex trust-based estate planning
• Advanced planning strategies
• Tax-aware estate planning concepts
• Reviewing and drafting sophisticated estate planning documents
• Communicating clearly and thoughtfully with clients and counsel
• California bar admission preferred
• Significant experience with California estate planning strongly preferred

• Contract / freelance
• Flexible and scalable based on need
• Remote or hybrid possible
