This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: Alabama (USA), Illinois (USA), Indiana (USA), Ohio (USA), Texas (USA), Virginia (USA) Job Summary: The Director of Product Management for Revenue Compliance, Tax and Business Licensing is a strategic product leader responsible for defining and executing the product vision across Neumo's revenue compliance solutions. This role drives the full product lifecycle—from market discovery and roadmap strategy through delivery and adoption—for government clients administering tax revenue operations, compliance enforcement, and business license management. The Director leads a team of Product Managers and Product Owners, aligns cross-functional stakeholders, and serves as the primary subject matter authority for this product domain. Duties and Responsibilities: • Define and own the multi-year product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Revenue Compliance, Tax & Business License product portfolio, in alignment with Neumo's overall product strategy and go-to-market objectives. • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Product Managers and Product Owners; establish clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations. • Partner closely with Engineering, UX, Sales, Implementation, and Customer Success to ensure timely delivery of high-quality product increments that meet client and market needs. • Serve as the domain expert for government tax, revenue administration, compliance enforcement workflows, business license issuance and renewal, and related regulatory frameworks at the state and local government level. • Drive discovery through regular engagement with government clients, prospects, and industry stakeholders to validate problems, test solutions, and gather actionable market intelligence. • Translate complex regulatory and compliance requirements into clear, executable product requirements, epics, and user stories; maintain a well-prioritized, outcome-oriented backlog. • Define and track KPIs, OKRs, and product health metrics; regularly report on product performance, adoption, and competitive positioning to senior leadership. • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes (e.g., tax code updates, business licensing law changes) and assess their implications for Neumo's product offerings. • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to develop compelling positioning, pricing inputs, and go-to-market strategies for the product portfolio. • Support competitive intelligence efforts and contribute to strategic product decisions including build/buy/partner trade-offs. • Represent the product portfolio in client advisory sessions, industry conferences, and analyst briefings. • Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate roadmap planning, backlog refinement, and competitive research. • Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: • 7+ years of progressive product management experience, with at least 2 years in a product leadership or people management role. • Demonstrated experience in government technology (GovTech), tax administration, revenue compliance, or business licensing software; direct experience with state or local government clients strongly preferred. • Proven track record of owning and delivering complex, multi-stakeholder SaaS product portfolios from strategy through launch. • Familiarity with government revenue administration concepts including tax filing workflows, audit management, delinquency and collections, business license lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance enforcement. • Experience with Agile methodologies and SDLC; proficiency with JIRA, and Figma • Prefer Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, public administration or related field. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Deep understanding of state and local government revenue operations, including tax compliance workflows, business license administration, and regulatory enforcement processes. • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen; ability to connect product decisions to revenue growth, client retention, and market positioning. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to influence and align diverse audiences including engineers, government clients, executives, and sales teams. • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing, geographically distributed product teams. • Strong data fluency; able to define success metrics, analyze product performance data, and drive decisions from quantitative and qualitative evidence. • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple product lines and delivery teams simultaneously. • Experience working with legal, compliance, and regulatory experts to ensure products meet applicable government standards and procurement requirements. • Proficiency with AI productivity tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) to accelerate discovery, roadmap documentation, and backlog management. Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual work station, using telephone and computer Physical Demands • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine • This position needs to occasionally move about inside an office • This position travels up to 33% and be able to interface in customer offices and regulated environments. • The person in this position frequently communicates via video conferencing and telephone.
