Fisher Associates is a multidisciplinary design services firm seeking a motivated Bridge Engineer to join their collaborative Bridge and Transportation Engineering team. This role involves supporting bridge design, analysis, and transportation infrastructure projects to enhance community safety and mobility. Responsibilities - Support bridge design engineering, including load rating, structural analysis, and foundation design - Develop design plans, construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates for bridge and transportation structures - Maintain detailed records of bridge design documents, reports, and budgets - Support project managers with schedules, documentation, and presentations - Ensure designs adhere to state and local standards, regulations and safety codes - Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables - Assist with field inspections and prepare detailed bridge inspection reports and analyze foundation design - Provide technical support during construction, respond to RFIs and attend site visits - Collaborate with internal teams, clients, subconsultants and agencies to ensure seamless project delivery Skills - B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field - 0-5 years of transportation experience, structures/bridge design engineering experience - EIT preferred or ability to obtain it - Proficiency in MicroStation, STAAD and Bridge Design Software - Familiarity with state DOT design standards (NYSDOT or PennDOT) - Professional performance aligned with Fisher's Mission, Vision, Core Values, and Clientship philosophy - Dedicated to fostering trusting relationships through collaboration, integrity, respect, and active listening - Proven ability to deliver quality work through critical thinking, problem-solving, and sound judgment - Proactively own projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, growth environment - Superior organizational and planning skills with keen attention to detail - Curious and improvement-minded, embracing feedback and continuously seeking better solutions - Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field - 0-5 years of transportation experience, structures/bridge design engineering experience Benefits - Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance - 401(k) Plan - Company-paid Life and Disability Insurance - Hybrid Work Schedule - Generous PTO and Paid Holidays - Strong Work-life Balance - Shareholders Program - Professional Development Opportunities and Reimbursement - Supplemental Benefits Designed for Total Well-being and Financial Security - Engage with a variety of employee groups focused on community, inclusion, and employee voice.
