Our client in technology consulting services is looking for a Back-end Business Applications Developer to join their remote U.S. team. You’ll help build and enhance existing cloud-based business solutions that support workflows, automation, and integrations – working under the guidance of senior developers. The ideal candidate has at least one year of hands-on back-end development experience and has customized cloud-based business software (CRM, analytics, finance or similar apps) to fit real operational needs. This team hires based on resourcefulness, willingness to learn, and the ability to translate business requirements into working solutions. You should be comfortable collaborating with internal teams and participating in client video calls and conversations. This is a back-end role focused on logic, automation, and integrations – not front-end HTML/CSS or UI development. Back-end Business Applications Developer (cloud-based software, client-facing role) Responsibilities
• Enhance existing CRM-based apps, workflows, and automations
• Build server-side logic and integrations for CRM business processes
• Translate requirements into maintainable technical solutions
• Collaborate with PMs, analysts, and clients to clarify needs
• Create and update APIs, webhooks, and data sync processes
• Troubleshoot issues and improve performance of existing solutions
• Document changes for future support and enhancements
• Support testing, deployments, and post-launch fixes
• Follow secure practices to protect data integrity and access
Back-end Business Applications Developer (cloud-based software, client-facing role) Qualifications
• 1+ years of back-end development (PHP, Java, C#, Ruby, .NET, or server-side JavaScript) required
• Experience customizing cloud-based business software/apps (e.g., CRM, analytics, finance) required
• Willingness and interest in a client-facing role required
• Availability to work 8 am-5 pm Eastern Time Monday-Friday required
