Job Description:
The Minnesota Department of Information Technology Services (MNIT), partnering with the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), is seeking one full-time resource to work on Workforce Digital Products MinnesotaWorks.net Replacement effort to build an MS Azure database back-end and API integrations with legacy systems.
At a high level, the resource will assist with the design and implementation of Azure solutions, with a particular focus on database management. The specialist will architect robust solutions optimized for performance, scalability, and security. Additionally, they will be responsible for designing and implementing database solutions on the Azure platform, ensuring seamless integration with applications and providing expertise in database optimization and troubleshooting for the MinnesotaWorks.net Replacement project.
Sample Tasks
• Design an Azure database solution to replace the existing MinnesotaWorks.net system's database
• Implement an Azure database solution
• Perform data migration from the existing legacy MinnesotaWorks.net system to the new solution
• Develop database management processes for the new system.
• Perform performance testing on the new system to ensure optimization, scalability, and security
• Provide knowledge transfer
Desired Qualifications
• 3 years' experience working on MS Azure solutions, with particular focus on database management.
• Experience with designing MS Azure solutions
• Experience implementing database solutions on an Azure platform
• Knowledge and experience with database design, especially with replacing existing systems
• Knowledge and experience with data migration
• Experience with integrating with legacy systems
