Job Description About the role We are seeking a Associate Test Engineer to help build and scale our AI-native platform. This role involves developing both the frontend and backend components of our system while implementing advanced AI capabilities that transform how enterprises interact with their data. Roles & Responsibilities Understand project requirements, review user stories, and create focused test charters to guide testing sessions. Apply Context-Driven Testing principles to tailor test approaches to the unique needs and constraints of each project. Design and perform exploratory tests to uncover usability issues, edge cases, and unexpected behavior. Validate product behavior through real-world usage scenarios, prioritizing user impact and business value. Perform API testing using tools like Postman to verify system interactions and data integrity. Write and execute SQL/database queries to validate data flows and investigate test results. Log, track, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps. Participate in Agile ceremonies Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to drive quality at every stage. •Contribute to test documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 1–3 years of experience in software testing. Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, and Agile practices. Hands-on experience in API testing using tools like Postman. Ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation and test support. Experience with test case and defect management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, JIRA). Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Familiarity with SQL clients like DBeaver, MySQL Workbench, or pgAdmin. Exposure to UI automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright). Knowledge of version control tools like Git. Understanding of performance testing or accessibility testing concepts.
