Job Title: Informatica IDMC / CDQ Data Lineage Implementation Specialist Location: Stamford, CT (Remote candidate may work remotely) Duration: 12+ Months Experience Required: 8 10 Years Role Summary The Informatica IDMC / CDQ Data Lineage Implementation Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise data lineage and metadata management solutions to support governance, compliance, and data quality initiatives. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Informatica CDQ / IDMC, data lineage frameworks, metadata tools, and collaboration across business and technical teams. Key Responsibilities • Data Lineage & Metadata Management • Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data lineage frameworks tracking data from: • Source systems • Transformations • Downstream consumption (reports, analytics, BI) • Define and implement standards, processes, and governance models for metadata and lineage. • Create clear and auditable data flow visualizations to support governance and regulatory needs. • Automation & Tool Configuration • Configure and automate lineage harvesting using tools such as: • Collibra • Data.world • Alation • Enable automated lineage capture from: • Databases • ETL pipelines (e.g., Airflow) • BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau) • Integrate lineage with Informatica IDMC / CDQ capabilities. • Documentation & Data Modeling • Create and maintain: • Technical lineage maps • Business lineage maps • Data dictionaries • Metadata models • Support both technical and non-technical stakeholders with clear documentation. • Governance, Compliance & Security • Support regulatory and compliance initiatives including: • GDPR • CCPA • Perform impact analysis using lineage for change management and risk assessment. • Partner with governance teams to ensure alignment with enterprise data security and privacy policies. • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement • Work closely with: • Data Owners • Data Stewards • Data Engineers • Business Analysts • Translate business requirements into technical lineage and metadata solutions. • Present complex data concepts clearly to business users and leadership. • Troubleshooting & Analysis • Investigate data issues by tracing data flows end-to-end. • Support root cause analysis related to data quality, transformation errors, and reporting discrepancies. Required Skills & Experience Core Technical Skills • Strong hands-on experience with: • Informatica IDMC • Informatica CDQ • Informatica Axon • Expertise in: • SQL • ETL processes • Data modeling • Metadata management • Experience with: • Data warehousing concepts • Cloud platforms • Big data technologies (PySpark preferred) Tools & Platforms • Metadata & lineage tools: • Collibra • Alation • Data.world • BI tools: • Power BI • Tableau Analytical & Soft Skills • Strong data profiling and data quality assessment skills. • Ability to build visualizations and explain data flows clearly. • Excellent communication skills, especially when presenting to business users. • Strong project management, attention to detail, and leadership skills. Preferred / Desirable Skills • Experience integrating lineage with enterprise governance frameworks. • Exposure to cloud-native data architectures. • Prior experience supporting audits and regulatory reviews.
