About the role As a Frontend Engineer , you’ll help build and scale an interactive football betting game — a greenfield project where performance, responsiveness, and security are key. You’ll take ownership of designing and developing dynamic user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and Vite , translating product and design concepts into engaging, reliable, and secure front-end experiences. You’ll collaborate closely with backend engineers, designers, and the CTO to shape architecture, integrate real-time features, and deliver a product that balances speed with integrity. This is an ongoing, high-impact role for a mid-to-senior engineer who thrives in fast-moving environments and values craftsmanship, flexibility, and problem-solving excellence. Responsibilities Build responsive, performant, and engaging user interfaces using React + Vite Design and implement front-end architecture that supports real-time data and user interactions (e.g. via websockets) Collaborate with backend engineers to ensure seamless integration between systems Work closely with designers to translate UX concepts into polished, intuitive user experiences Maintain a strong focus on security, transparency, and compliance requirements essential for licensing Contribute to team discussions and technical decisions throughout the project lifecycle Requirements 4+ years of professional experience in front-end development 2+ years of experience with React (core framework) — building and maintaining production-grade interfaces 2+ years of experience with TypeScript, working in strongly typed, scalable front-end environments 1+ years of experience with a Strong understanding of state management and real-time data handling (e.g., websockets, Pub/Sub, or similar) 2+ years of experience in custom component design with advanced CSS skills Proven ability to collaborate within balanced, cross-functional teams (engineering, design, product) Strong problem-solving mindset and adaptability to fast-paced, evolving environments Nice to have Experience working on gaming, sports, or betting platforms, especially with real-time or regulated systems Exposure to backend or full-stack environments (useful for collaboration across the stack) Previous experience with security-focused development and compliance processes Background in scaling greenfield applications or contributing to MVP-to-production launches Experience mentoring peers or leading smaller projects (not required but desirable) Benefits Fixed Shifts: 12:00 PM - 9:30 PM IST (Summer) | 1:00 PM - 10:30 PM IST (Winter) No Weekend Work: Real work-life balance, not just words Day 1 Benefits: Laptop and full medical insurance provided Support That Matters:Mentorship, community, and forums where ideas are shared True Belonging: A long-term career where your contributions are valued At Smart Working, you’ll never be just another remote hire.
