Growth Marketing Lead – Scale Paid Lawyer Acquisition for Legal Directory

We run a paid legal directory/marketplace that helps lawyers attract clients through high-intent discovery. At this stage, we believe outbound is the fastest path to incremental growth, and we’re looking for an experienced, hands-on growth marketer to help us find and validate a repeatable outbound channel for acquiring paying lawyers. This role is outbound-first. It is not SEO, content, or social media. What you’ll work on -Your primary mandate is direct acquisition of new paid lawyer accounts via outbound. Typical responsibilities include: - Designing and testing cold email and/or LinkedIn outreach to lawyers or small law firms - Testing and refining outbound messaging and positioning angles based on real-world responses and conversion data. - Defining ICPs and messaging that resonates with lawyers’ real buying motivations - Testing simple outbound funnels (outreach → landing page → paid signup) - Reviewing reply quality, objections, and early conversion data - Rapidly killing approaches that don’t show signal and doubling down on those that do - Secondarily (light-touch only), you may help sanity-check small upgrade tests to the existing user base. Engagement structure (important) - Hourly engagement - Capped at ~3 hours per week initially - Initial engagement: 3–6 months - Progress reviewed weekly and evaluated on an ongoing basis We’ll continue the engagement as long as we’re seeing credible leading indicators. If not, we’ll pause or end the contract quickly and cleanly. If outbound shows promise, hours and scope can increase. What success looks like - Within the first 30 days, we expect at least one of the following: - Positive reply or interest rates from outbound that justify scaling - Early paid conversions from outbound efforts - A clearly validated ICP + message combination worth doubling down on - Learning quickly what doesn’t work is considered success.
