Field Applications Specialist I

The Field Applications Specialist I will support the Purification Business Unit by conducting virus clearance studies and managing field equipment, ensuring operational readiness and supporting laboratory projects. Responsibilities Support simple virus clearance studies for filling at BSL-2 facilities Prepare study reports from validation studies for customers Maintain small scale virus filtration kits Ensure proper calibration and verification of equipment Support internal laboratory projects at the Glenview facility (with supervision) Generate technical reports from internal studies (under the guidance of a senior FA member) Timely communication and regular exchange of information and resources Documentation of internal and external requests for information Prediction of future or similar requests Proactive approach to address future requests Gather in-depth customer processing knowledge and organize findings Presentation of current projects or project updates at department meeting Maintain on-going understanding of the biotechnology industry including trends within recombinant protein and plasma fractionation by supporting customer visits, review of trade journals and attendance at industry conferences Skills BS in Life Sciences 0 - 2 years lab experience Experience operating with sterile technique Strong verbal and communications skills required Experience with nano-filtration or other protein purification is a plus Benefits Strong company culture Competitive Compensation with Bonuses Great health benefits with the company paying over 80% of insurance premiums Wellness Program Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Strong company match to 401(k) contributions Tuition reimbursement program Giving Program Paid Parental Leave Company Overview As a global partner to the biopharmaceutical industry, Asahi Kasei Bioprocess helps biologics manufacturers safely and efficiently produce medicines that patients can trust, by dependably supplying innovative yet exceptionally reliable bioprocess consumables, equipment and scientific support services.
