Job Summary We are seeking 25 experienced Middle School Teachers to teach multiple subjects to students in grades 6-8. As a Middle School Teacher at Bennington Public Schools, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic, social, and emotional development of our students. You will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and styles Assess student learning and progress, providing constructive feedback and interventions as needed Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic achievement, creativity, and critical thinking Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success Participate in departmental meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events Maintain accurate records and communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress Utilize technology and other resources to enhance teaching and learning Adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must possess: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education from an accredited college or university A valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate with the proper endorsement for Middle School education A strong understanding of curriculum design, instructional strategies, and assessment practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups A commitment to ongoing professional development and growth Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience teaching in a middle school setting or working with early adolescents Knowledge of project-based learning, technology integration, and other innovative instructional approaches A Master's degree or higher in Education or a related field Experience with data-driven instruction and assessment Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups The ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve student learning A commitment to ongoing professional development and growth Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing circumstances and priorities What We Offer At Bennington Public Schools, we offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
