Job Overview and Responsibilities The Operator Manufacturing I position is crucial to our production process, requiring a strong foundation in operating and monitoring assigned production equipment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing various tasks following established procedures and guidelines, ensuring the highest quality production and minimal unplanned stops. Your duties will include: Performing necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on assigned equipment. Operating assigned equipment and monitoring it during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops. Communicating with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials. Performing housekeeping and sanitation tasks to maintain a clean and safe work environment. Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a combination of skills, knowledge, and personal qualities, including: Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, following standardized work and adhering to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment. Physical stamina to lift at least 25 lbs., stand on feet for prolonged periods, and climb stairs as needed. Flexibility to work weekends, including some holidays, as scheduled to support customer demand. Ability to work in a noisy environment with elevated equipment noise, requiring the use of hearing protection, and tolerate seasonal temperature variations. A high school diploma or GED. Preferred Qualifications While not required, having experience in a manufacturing environment or knowledge of production equipment operation would be highly beneficial.
