Entry-level AML Investigator - Financial Crimes (Remote)

Job Description: Location: • Remote - South Carolina. Work Arrangement: This is a remote, work-from-home opportunity for candidates based in South Carolina. The role includes three weeks of company-provided remote training. Please note: Remote work flexibility is not guaranteed long-term and may be subject to change based on company needs (Candidates must currently reside in South Carolina; relocation assistance is not available.) About the Role: No prior experience required! We offer comprehensive on-the-job training to help you develop your skills in financial crime compliance. As an Entry-level AML Investigator, you'll analyze financial transactions, identify suspicious activity, and ensure compliance with regulatory policies, including KYC. Training Schedule (First 3 Weeks): • Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM EST • Flexibility may be required to accommodate operational needs across multiple time zones. Regular Schedule (After Training): • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time • Flexibility may still be required based on operational needs in various time zones. Key Responsibilities: • Evaluate and monitor transactional activity to identify potential suspicious activity. • Verify client identities and assess their relationships with financial institutions for Know your Customer (KYC) purposes. • Interpret and implement client-operating policies related to financial data. • Identify data anomalies and red flags for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, sanctions violations, and escalate for second level review. • Write clear, concise reports summarizing findings and recommendations. • Use basic Excel functions and technology applications (Microsoft, internet) for analysis. • Adhere to designated timeframes and procedures to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks. • Submit written work product for review by internal quality control teams and make necessary adjustments based on feedback. • Meet production and quality standards while working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations and company policies, and client requirements related to Anti-Money Laundering. What You Bring (Minimum Qualifications) • Completed Bachelor’s Degree required. • Must currently reside in South Carolina. • Strong writing and communication skills to produce clear, accurate, well-organized summaries and articulate recommendations. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to accept feedback positively and implement necessary changes quickly. • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills. • Technical aptitude for using Microsoft Excel and other technology tools. • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment. • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to feedback, new technologies and processes. Preferred Qualifications: • Ability to adapt to change quickly and identify opportunities for improvement. • Demonstrated experience in MS Excel, including pivot tables, macros, filtering, and sorting. • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and collaborative mindset. • Knowledge of effective internet search techniques.
