Employee Relations Business Partner (Hybrid – 90% Remote)

Role: Employee Relations Business Partner Contract: 6 Months (Potential for Extension) Location: Phoenix, AZ (95% Remote) Pay: $38/hour Hours: Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM TEEMA is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Business Partner to provide hands-on HR support across for a government client in the Phoenix area. In this role, you’ll partner with managers and employees to address workplace issues, ensure compliance and promote an engaged, high-performing workforce. What You’ll Do • Conduct and manage employee relations investigations. • Advise managers on performance, engagement and compliance. • Administer leaves of absence (FMLA, ADA, etc.). • Draft and interpret HR policies and ensure fair, consistent application. • Lead HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives. • Collaborate on benefits communication and wellness programs. • Contribute to a culture of trust, inclusion and accountability. What You Bring • 4+ years of HR or employee relations experience (public or private sector). • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR practices. • Skilled communicator with diplomacy and discretion. • Proficiency in Google Suite and HRIS systems. • Bachelor’s degree preferred; HR certification (PHR/SPHR) a plus. Work Environment: 95% remote, with occasional onsite presence in downtown Phoenix for new employee orientations or key meetings. Start Date: November 10, 2025 Assignment Length: 6 Months | Full-Time | W-2 Hourly We partner directly with our client to connect experienced HR professionals with meaningful public service projects.
