About the position Responsibilities • Strategic Visionary: Provide strategic and operational leadership for financial services activities, ensuring delivery of high-quality, mission-driven, and cost-effective healthcare. • Transformation Advocate: Lead efforts to achieve operational goals and deliver on the operational transformation plan across the division. • Collaborative Partner: Engage with system shared services and support functions to align initiatives with the overarching system's integrated strategic and financial plan. • Financial Maestro: Oversee financial strategic planning and processes used by executives and the board to establish market direction and policies. • Innovative Leader: Pioneer strategies and programs to enhance financial performance within the division and across the system, focusing on service delivery and community health. Requirements • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or accounting is required; a Master's degree and/or CPA is preferred. • Experience: A decade or more of senior finance executive roles with financial accountability for $2 Billion in revenue. • Complex Systems Expertise: Experience within complex, matrixed healthcare systems, including physician groups, health plans, and long-term care. • Business Acumen: Business development and transactional experience, including mergers, acquisitions, affiliations, partnerships, and integration work. • Payor Knowledge: Understanding of federal/commercial payor reporting requirements and third-party contracting, including expertise in Medi-Cal. • Reimbursement Models: Familiarity with value-based reimbursement models related to population health initiatives, risk-sharing, and alternative payment arrangements. Nice-to-haves • A Master's degree and/or CPA is preferred.
