Discoverability Manager, Organic Search (SEO)

They are seeking a Discoverability Manager, Organic Search to execute organic search analysis, develop SEO strategies, and enhance online visibility for clients. This role involves conducting keyword research, optimizing on-page signals, and delivering performance reports to drive client success in digital marketing. Responsibilities Provide strategic recommendations for improving Organic Search on websites in various stages of development Conduct keyword research utilizing leading industry tools Analyze and optimize on-page Organic Search signals like titles, descriptions, copy, images, internal links Create and deliver monthly organic search performance reports Conduct comprehensive Organic Search site audits and competitive analyses Provide Organic Search recommendations for non-website digital assets like video Connections, social media profiles, local listings, vertical directories and others Evaluate and present organic search findings and recommendations for implementation Document client history, processes, contact information, major initiatives, past recommendations and projects, and site changes Effective and persuasive presentations (verbal and written) for teams and clients Work with account teams and clients to understand and document business, technical and reporting requirements, and to develop solutions to ensure success Help global clients expand their knowledge and use of search engine optimization and drive internal client user adoption Provide guidance to the agency and client on the implementation and use of white hat Organic Search strategies Attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and organizational development Stay current on the constantly changing search and technology industry and inform clients about new industry developments that impact them Working independently across client tasks; connecting with Senior team members to advise, as necessary Collaborating across departments to ensure appropriate inclusion at the correct times in the process for client work Ensuring that VML delivers cutting edge, high-quality Organic Search work that is of consistently high caliber and customization to each client's needs Staying current on rapidly changing industry standards and pushing clients to implement their best search work Navigating multiple dependencies on technology, content creators and other Connections in order for search work to be effective Leverage automation tools to find efficiencies in the work that is completed Producing thought leadership pieces like POVs and industry news round-ups Developing case studies based on past work for new business initiatives and to validate client relationships Skills 1-3 years experience working in Search Engine Optimization (Organic Search), agency experience ideal but not required Experience with common Organic Search Tools (semrush, Moz Analytics, BrightEdge, SearchMetrics,etc.) Research skills Basic knowledge of Web Analytics, HTML, Basic Excel, Keynote or PowerPoint, AI platforms Ability to balance competing demands and problem solve Strong collaboration skills amongst cross functional teams Great communication skills, both verbally and written Resourceful and Lifelong Learner who is receptive to feedback Benefits Full spectrum of group health coverage options (medical, dental, vision) Generous 401k match (100% dollar-for-dollar match, up to 5% of salary contribution) Variety of paid time off offerings Company Overview VML is a global powerhouse born from the unification of Wunderman Thompson and VMLY&R — two of the world's most powerful and accomplished creative agencies with complementary capabilities and geographic strengths.
