With a strong focus on customer satisfaction, employee development, and community involvement, we are dedicated to being the best in the industry. **Key Responsibilities** As a Customer Service Associate at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include: * Registering sales on assigned cash register and providing customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. * Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. * Resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience. * Modeling and sharing customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience. * Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items. * Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash and distributing change as requested; processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed. * Keeping counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records. * Checking in and pricing merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader. * Implementing Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss. * Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products). * Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise. * Assisting with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves). * Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products. * Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance. * Complying with all company policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers. * Completing special assignments and other tasks as assigned. **Training & Personal Development** As a Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you will have the opportunity to attend training and complete PPLs (Product, Process, and Location) requested by your manager or assigned by corporate. We are committed to helping you develop your skills and knowledge to excel in your role and advance your career. **Basic Qualifications** To be considered for this role, you must: * Be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). * Be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours. **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, we prefer candidates with: * Six months of experience in a retail environment. * Prior work experience with blithequark. * Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). * Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours. **Equal Opportunity Employer** blithequark is an equal opportunity employer, including disability/veterans.
