The Virginia Department of Taxation is seeking an analytical and results-driven Business Analyst to join their Collections Unit. This role involves creating and presenting insightful reports, effectively communicating complex data to inform decision-making, and collaborating with various stakeholders. Responsibilities Identify, gather, and compile key performance indicators (KPIs) for Collections, Court Debt, Tobacco, and Offer In Compromise Monitor and coordinate the creation of data-driven dashboards that track and showcase collections metrics Serve as a key point of contact for the Collections team in supporting process improvements, implementing new reporting systems, and ensuring smooth collaboration with all levels of Collections Management Act as the primary liaison between the Collections Unit and various external stakeholders, including the Commissioner’s Office, the Attorney General’s office, legislative offices, and other parties Skills Experience identifying, gathering and compiling information for metric driven dashboards Experience with SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and creating/generating reports Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Office, or similar software Experience researching/analyzing statistical data Experience working on team or independent projects Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people Prefer progressive work experience in collections and customer service Benefits Job stability and quality of life!
