Role description: We are looking for an experienced Analytics Engineer to join a project with our US-based customer. Working hours: 9 AM - 5 PM EST, Mon-Fr . This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing digital analytics solutions using tools such as Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and data layer frameworks. The position ensures accurate event tracking, scalable tagging infrastructure, and actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making across the company. Responsibilities: Google Analytics 4 (GA4) & BigQuery: - Design and implement custom event tracking to capture key user interactions using GA4’s event-based model. - Configure GA4 properties for event collection and integrate with Google BigQuery. - Analyze GTM-collected data to identify trends, insights, and optimization opportunities. - Troubleshoot and resolve GA4 tracking issues, collaborating with development and product teams. Google Tag Manager (GTM) & Data Layer: - Architect and maintain robust data layers for reliable, scalable tracking. - Deploy and manage tracking tags (GA4, marketing pixels, etc.). - Write custom JavaScript for advanced triggers and complex tracking scenarios. - Use GTM workspaces and environments to ensure version control and best practices. - Oversee GTM projects from requirements to implementation and QA. Compliance & Consent Management: - Integrate CMP logic and ensure tracking complies with GDPR, CCPA, and related regulations. - Implement and maintain Google Consent Mode logic for Google Tags. Reporting & Visualization: - Build and maintain internal Looker Studio dashboards. - Validate data accuracy and collaborate with stakeholders on insights and KPIs. Technical Implementation & Version Control: - Use GitHub for version control following branching and deployment best practices. - Implement and manage tracking code in various frameworks (Laravel, WordPress, React, etc.). - Debug HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for tracking-related changes. Documentation & Best Practices: - Maintain clear documentation for GTM/GA4 setups, data layers, and workflows. Requirements: Google Analytics 4 certification with 1+ years managing end-to-end GA4 projects. 1-2 years GTM experience, including architecting tagging strategies and delivering measurable results. 1-2 years of GitHub experience with strong version control and deployment skills. Experience with Google BigQuery and GA4 data schema. 1+ years of SQL experience; BigQuery optimization a plus. 1+ years of JavaScript experience, especially with data Layer and OOP principles. Will be a Competitive Advantage: Experience with Google Cloud analytics products (Dataform, Cloud SQL Server, Cloud Orchestrator). Familiarity with Segment for managing sources and destinations. Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform environments. Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) tools: Adobe Analytics, Customer Journey Analytics, Adobe Real-Time CDP.
