The California Department of Developmental Services is responsible for providing services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities. The Analyst II role involves conducting analytical assignments and technical support for federally funded programs, focusing on the development of invoices and reports, as well as managing databases and providing assistance on federal programs. Responsibilities Fulfilling a variety of analytical assignments Providing technical support relative to numerous federally funded programs that impact individuals with developmental disabilities Development and preparation of invoices and reports for the Home and Community Based Services programs Analytical and research assignments Management of databases Providing technical assistance on federal programs Researching complex programmatic issues Billing of federal programs Analyzing monthly eligibility reports Skills Understanding of and/or experience with the California service delivery system for individuals with developmental disabilities Experience with budgets, invoices, and reports Ability to develop and maintain cooperative and constructive working relationships with other agencies, the community, and Department staff Ability to work with professional personnel in the field relating to coordinating and developing services for persons with developmental needs Ability to analyze situations accurately and take effective action Must be able to speak and write effectively Ability to reason logically and creatively Ability to analyze data and present ideas and information effectively Ability to review and edit written reports Ability to establish and maintain project priorities Knowledge of California developmental disabilities system and the services supports and needs of consumers Knowledge of federally funded waivers, state plan amendments and other federally funded programs related to the developmental disabilities system Knowledge of state and federal budgeting policies and procedures Benefits Excellent medical, dental and vision insurance benefits Retirement benefits Company Overview California Department of Developmental Services is into the development of differently-abled people to make choices & live productive lives.
