Job Type: Contract Job Category: IT Job Title: AI / NLP Engineer Location: Remote Contract Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced AI/NLP Engineer to design, develop, and integrate advanced AI and Natural Language Processing solutions within our data and analytics ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure Cognitive Services, Databricks, and Python-based NLP/LLM frameworks, with hands-on experience in integrating offline open-weight models and enterprise-grade AI APIs. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement AI/NLP solutions using large language models (LLMs), transformer architectures, and open-weight models. Develop and maintain data engineering pipelines and technical architecture using Databricks and SQL Server. Integrate and optimize Azure Cognitive Services for text analytics, entity recognition, and other AI capabilities. Implement and fine-tune Claude API and OpenAI API integrations for conversational AI and generative solutions. Leverage LangChain, PyTorch, and other AI/ML frameworks to build scalable and production-ready models. Deploy, monitor, and evaluate offline and online AI models ensuring efficiency, reliability, and security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into AI-driven solutions. Document architecture designs, data flows, and model integration processes for scalability and maintenance. Required Skills & Experience: Strong programming experience with Python (NLP, data pipelines, ML frameworks). Hands-on expertise in Azure Cognitive Services and Databricks (including foundational model integration). Experience with Claude API, OpenAI API, and LangChain for LLM-based applications. Proficiency in SQL Server and data engineering principles. Strong understanding of PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar deep learning frameworks. Proven experience working with offline open-weight models (LLaMA, Mistral, Falcon, etc.). Knowledge of cloud-based AI deployment, model monitoring, and API-driven architecture.
