Actuarial Analyst - Retirement / Pension

Rael & Letson is an independent employee benefits consulting and actuarial services firm. They are seeking an Actuarial Analyst to provide technical support to their Pension consultants and analysts, including preparing actuarial valuations and communicating with plan professionals. Responsibilities Preparing actuarial valuations, including data preparation, calculation of assets and liabilities, gain/loss analysis and preparation of final reports Preparing projections of assets and liabilities, government forms and notices, and benefit calculations Drafting and/or reviewing participant notices, Summary Plan Descriptions, Plan Documents and amendments, as well as assisting with special projects as needed Communicating both in writing and verbally with plan professionals including Administrators, Auditors, Investment Consultants and Counsel, as well as within and across assigned client teams Collaborating with other analysts to develop/improve data and project management capabilities Skills Good verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills Self-motivated with strong personal management and organization skills Strong problem-solving skills and attentive to detail Work well in a team environment, yet able to work independently and effectively multi-task to meet deadlines Substantial knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Business or similar with at least 2 actuarial exams passed and actively pursuing an actuarial designation 1 year of actuarial pension experience is preferred, but not required Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply ProVal experience is preferred Benefits Annual bonus program 401k with a 5% company contribution Medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage ESOP Generous time off Actuarial study program Company Overview Rael & Letson is a financial consulting firm.
